Taking Care of Business

We received the deed to our property so we visited a couple local government offices on Tuesday.  We stopped at the House Numbering office and got everything set up to get an address for the property.  We had to stop by the land on the way home to put a stake roughly where the center of the house will be.  They went out there on Wednesday and called us that afternoon with our new address.  While we were out, we also stopped at the courthouse to show the deed to the assessor’s office and get everything taken care of there.  We’ll have to go back there once the house is done.  Next stop will be to the post office to verify our zip code and find out what needs to be done to get a mailbox out there.
